Volleyball is one of the most succesful and widespread competitive and free time activities in the world.
It is fast, exciting and explosive. Volleyball is a combination of several basic interconnected elements which altogether form a unique group game.
Our sports club has been independent for 13 years. After TJ Iskra Revúca was closed down, an independent club Saturn Gemer Revúca started up in 1993.
In 1995 the club changed its name and since it has been known as Magnezit Revúca Army Volleyball Club.AVK Magnezit Revúca develops the rich and succesful tradition of Revúca volleyball, which started to take part in competitions in 1960. Now AVK Magnezit Revúca has three competitive teams. The team of men is a participant of the First Slovak Volleyball League, the team of cadets is a participant of Regional Championship of Banská Bystrica regions, the team of older pupils is a participant of Regional Championship of the same regions. AVK also supports the volleyball activities of School Sports Centre.
